Inspiration comes from the film The Prestige, about 2 rival magicians Borden and Angier. They tried to discover the counterpart’s secret of performance and create the best stage illusion. Their jealousy and anger started from a water escape performance by Borden, in which Angier’s wife was made a complicated knot and was drowned at last. To take revenge, Angier applied the technique of transported man to make Borden suicide himself, which was appealed. To achieve the performance effects, Angier killed himself repeatedly. The 2 rivals competed, the process of which was full of sacrifice, lack of humanity, sadness and loss of minds. The background was a wonderful world in Angier’s mind and it was a scene after the Angier’s wife was drowned. There were 2 same Angier’s wife, signaling Angier wanted to make his wife copied and magically alive, applying symmetrical composition.
